Who should apply ?
- Digital and deep tech startups developing innovative solutions addressing Climate-tech, Clean-tech, Circular economy and Agri-food challenges.
- Startups established in EU member states or Associated Countries with a preference for Widening Countries or EU Outermost Regions.
- Both startups with and without experience of the EIC Accelerator (or former SME Instrument) application are encouraged to apply with detailed criteria in the eligibility section

Launching on January 2024 and closing on March 2024

15 Startups
- 10 non-EIC applicants startups
- 5 EIC applicants startups

750000 € Funding
Up to 50 000€ per stratups

6 Months Programme
The programme will be split between those with (x5) and without (x10) experience of the EIC Accelerator (or former SME Instrument) application.

- Are Seal of Excellence holders (SME instrument or EIC Accelerator)
non-EIC applicant startups
Digital and deep tech startups that:
- Have not applied for EIC Accelerator or SME Instrument
- Have received private or EU, national or other types of grant funding of up €500.000
Open Call #2 Timeline
The open call will run from January 2024. All applications will then be evaluated by external experts. Applications must be submitted in English through the F6S platform. In addition, applicants must be based in an EU or Horizon Europe-associated country.

Eligibility
Digital and deep tech startups that:
- Have applied for EIC Accelerator and were preselected after Step 1 and not selected or have not applied to Step 2
- Have implemented an SME Instrument Phase 1 project
- Are Seal of Excellence holders (SME instrument or EIC Accelerator)
Activities & services that qualify for financial support should aim to increase market coverage of selected solutions.
Specific eligibility criteria: Can provide proof of SoE or successful Step 1 application for EIC Accelerator/ SME Instrument Phase 1 and evaluation feedback.
Non-EIC applicant startups
Digital and deep tech startups that:
- Have not applied for EIC Accelerator or SME Instrument
Have not received more than €500.000 in private funding or EU, National or other types of grant funding
Specific eligibility criteria:
- Minimum TRL level 4
- Funding: Can provide proof of receiving private or public funding of no more than €500.000
- Projects must be proposed by legal entities, single applicant startups (SMEs) established in EU member states or Associated Countries.
- Preference is given to companies founded in Widening Countries or EU Outermost Regions or companies incorporated in Widening Countries or EU Outermost Regions.
- Technological focus: Digital and deep tech startups, notably using AI, Machine learning and language processing, Big data, Advanced Computing, Bioengineering, Next Generation Internet, Blockchain, IoT.
- Sectoral focus: Companies developing innovative solutions addressing Climate-tech, Greentech, Circular economy and Agri-food challenges.
- Absence of conflict of interest: Applicants shall not have any potential conflict of interest with the selection process. Applicants cannot be legally connected to any member of the SynergistEIC consortium.
