This document showcases the menu of advisory services provided to the EIC startups by the project partners from SynergistEIC program. The services provided to the EICstartups were offered free of charge by the project partners based on their needs and KPIs set in order to complement and enhance the impact of the awarded sub-grants

This session is delivered by Simona D’Oca, Head of Sustainability of JLL Italy. Arch. Simona D’Oca holds a Ph.D. in Technology Innovation for the Built Environment, obtained from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley, CA) and the Department of Energy, Polytechnic of Turin. She has 12 years’ expertise on technology innovation and sustainability consultancy, including human-building interaction, human well-being and indoor environmental quality, demand-response and smart grids, building automation and controls, plug-and-play prefabricated renovations, smart metering and energy visualization, user-centric customer approaches considering societal needs and impacts for disruptive innovation, blockchain-based mechanisms for peer-to-peer energy markets and energy communities. At JLL she is responsible for the Sustainability area within Project and Development Service Business Unit, my main role is to identify opportunities and provide guidance on Net Zero Carbon Audits, CRREM Analysis, LCA Assessments for operational and embodied carbon, ESG Due Diligence activities, EU Taxonomy Alignment (including SFDR / NFRD / CSRD), climate and transitional risks, and International Sustainability certifications (such as LEED, BREEAM) for investor and corporate clients.

Accessing innovative EU Procurement – This session is delivered by Cristina Balan, Sustainability Advisor & Mentor at Enterprise Europe Network where she is working side-by-side with SMEs willing to transform their business models in order to gain competitive advantages and be compliant with sustainability requirements. Supporting SMEs to both adopt sustainable business models and improve their sustainability performance.

This session is delivered by Emmanuele Angione, one of the Managing Partners at Lira – an international consulting firm headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. He holds an MA in Communication Studies and an MBA in International Business. He started his career in the online payment sector before co-founding Winmedical, an Italian wearable MedTech company that went successfully from zero to exit in 8 years. He is an individual pre-seed investor focusing on early-stage, wearable MedTech start-ups.

This report is a reflection on the impact of the work conducted by the SynergistEIC partners in supporting the startups from the 1st cohort of the program. The main objective of this report is to assess and maximize the impact of the project activities, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and development. A project impact assessment framework was developed to closely monitor and understand how their engagement with the SynergistEIC project has helped the selected startups reach their objectives. The framework included both qualitative and quantitative indicators that were analyzed and are reflected in the following pages.
